In adobe class, we repeated CAD drawing that we learnt in term 2. I picked one of garment on design development pages and started off making a drawing. I started struggling by considering the structure of garment.
This is the garment i drew in sketchbook. I thought that this design is realistic. Besides, the structure of the garment is not really complicated. However, as you can see on the drawing, i didnt consider the design of the back side. the design of the back side can be various depends on how it is designed. For instance, two pieces would be overlapped- the left side would overlap the right side? or the right side would overlap the left side, or else, they just could be sewed each other. I discussed about it with tutor and it was really good opportunity to practice it. i had been thinking that garments i designed are realistic but i feel like i still need to considerately think about it.
i spent lots of time to discuss with the tutor so the outcome of the class doesn’t look so good. It seems clumsy for some reason. it means i still need to improve it.
Especially, in my design, the wearable garment is worn in unusual and experimental way so it is important to show how it is an actual garment for me.
